The Ford Bronco Returns

In 1966, Ford debuted the Ford Bronco. With its two-door design, incredible capability, and excellent powertrain options, the Bronco was a popular seller. Sadly, the Bronco was discounted in 1996. However, Ford has decided to bring back the Bronco in late 2020 as a 2021 model. Here is what we know about the upcoming Bronco.

Innovative Design

According to recent patent information, the Ford Bronco may come with removable door panels and a roof panel to create an open-air driving experience. This would put the 4X4 SUV in direct competition with the likes of the Jeep Wrangler. Another recent patent shows that the Bronco may also have repackable side curtain airbags. In all current vehicles, airbags can only be used once. That means that the Bronco will be bringing an all-new safety technology to the vehicle world.

The Bronco will have Ford's latest generation of LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. Additionally, the Bronco will have a high ground clearance that will make the vehicle ideal for true off-roading in and around Elizabethtown. In fact, the Bronco may later come out with a more rugged Baja edition that will make the Bronco one of the most capable vehicles in the SUV world.

There is no word on the standard or the optional powertrains. However, it could be expected that the Bronco will get one of Ford's amazing EcoBoost engines while they are found across Ford's SUV and truck lineup.

While the Ford Bronco is expected to arrive at dealers in late 2020, we may see the vehicle debut at an auto show in the spring of 2020. By the summer, we should see the first reviews of the Bronco hit the automotive market and on the internet. By then, we will have a full picture of the capabilities of the Bronco.
