2012 Ford Escape - So Much Fun. So Little Fuel.
Key Features:
- Let in more sunshine and fresh air with the available power moonroof.
A sunshade and mini overhead console are included. The power moonroof
on Escape XLT is available with Ford SYNC® in the Sun & SYNC® Package.
And it's available in Escape Limited with the 320-watt Premium Sound
System in the Moon & Tune Package. The moonroof is standard on Hybrid
Limited and optional on Hybrid.
- Available SYNC allows you to easily operate most popular MP3 players
and Bluetooth®-enabled phones with simple voice commands.* SYNC even
keeps you safe out on the road with 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report.**
911 Assist connects you to a 911 operator through your paired mobile
phone after an accident in which an airbag deploys, while Vehicle Health
Report allows you to create a personalized online report of your vehicles'
diagnostics. SYNC adds Traffic, Directions and Info. Get real-time traffic
updates, turn-by-turn direction and business search right through your
vehicle's stereo. Plus, hear your favorite content anytime you want
with personalized news, weather and sports. Access it all with either
touch or voice commands.
* Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle control. Only
use mobile phones and other devices, even with voice commands, when
it is safe to do so. **The vehicle's electrical system (including the
Battery), the wireless services provider's signal and a connected mobile
phone must all be available and operating for 911 Assist to function
properly. These systems may become damaged in a crash. The paired mobile
phone must be connected to Sync and the 911 Assist feature enabled in
order for 911 to be dialed. Standard text messaging and data rates may
apply. Mobile downloads are not compatible with Verizon. Mobile site
URL is ford.enpocket.com/focus.
- Escape features a hidden lockable wet trunk bin positioned underneath
the rear cargo area. The wet trunk works to protect the vehicle's carpeting
from wet or dirty items such as hiking boots. Available with the optional
Cargo Package, the wet trunk is a handy place for your post adventure
gear. Not available on Hybrid models.
- Whether traveling on- or off-road, Escape's available Intelligent
4WD System is always on and always working to help provide maximum traction.
What's so smart about the system is its ability to sense traction input
200 times per second and automatically adjusting torque distribution
as needed. Such adjustments work to help ensure maximum grip where the
rubber meets the road.
- The available voice-activated Navigation System with integrated SIRIUS
Traffic and SIRIUS Travel Link networks several functions and displays
them on an easy-to-use touch-screen display. The system features turn-by-turn
route guidance, real-time traffic information, current and forecasted
national weather information, fuel prices, sports scores and schedules,
and movie listings.* On top of all that, the 10-gigabyte music jukebox
function stores more than 150 hours (up to 2,400 songs). Browse your
music with your fingertips or use voice activation to play back a track.
The integrated DVD player is capable of reading CD-Audio, MP3 CDs, DVD,
DVD-Audio and DVD-ROM (for digital map updates). And the system's screen
can even be customized with personal photos. What's more, the Navigation
System now includes HD Radio with its CD-quality sound and crystal-clear
reception, available from stations equipped with digital transmission
capability. Conspicuously absent are the station drop-off, static, hiss
and audio distortion you've probably experienced occasionally with conventional
analog reception. Best of all, HD Radio comes with no monthly subscription
fee.
*Real-time traffic monitoring available in select markets. Some features
are unavailable while driving. Service available in 48 contiguous states
and DC. See your dealer for details. SIRIUS Travel Link is a trademark
of SIRIUS XM Radio, Inc. **Available from stations equipped with digital
transmission capability.
- If you could use a little assistance when parallel parking, Ford has
your helping hand. It's called Active Park Assist. While driving slowly
in the parking zone, activate Park Assist and it looks for an available
parking spot. Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the curb and
between parked cars. Once a spot that's big enough is identified, you're
signaled to stop and accept the system's assistance. Give the system
the green light to proceed and Active Park Assist controls the steering.
All you do is control the shifting, accelerating and braking.
